OUR STORY

We are the Shak kids, five siblings working together to create beautifully hand-crafted candles with love and laughter. Our candle company started because we wanted a puppy. Our Dad said, “Only if you can earn one.” That sparked a fire and we were determined to take on his challenge. It took us quite some time to come up with a product that we love, but in less than a year we earned our puppy. Her name is Gracie Mae and she’s so cute and adorable! Before we knew it, an actual company was established in the process. Since we achieved our initial goal, we have a new mission to simply have our products bring joy and peace to others (and maybe set aside some savings for college as well). Our workshop is located in our mom and dad’s kitchen in Matthews, NC. All of our candles are thoughtfully made with scents that touch our hearts. There are five main scents named after each of us and crafted from our individual personalities. We have become passionate about each unique candle. They are made in small batches and are individually hand poured, to create high quality. But sometimes there is a slight imperfection, just like us. They are clean burning, made with pure soy wax, lead-free cotton wicks, and phthalate free fragrances (because we don’t like chemicals). Our candles are pleasing to your senses, yet not harmful to your home and environment, because your wellbeing is important to us.
